San Ramon, California (EastBayDaily) — Yorktel (@Yorktelcorp), the worldwide leader in video managed services and cloud solutions, today reported significant growth in revenue, headcount and customer footprint. In 2012, the company marked a 30% increase in new customers, as well as a 22% increase in overall revenue from 2011 to 2012.
“We are very pleased with these results but frankly they are not surprising,” said Yorktel CEO, Ron Gaboury. “Yorktel has been a leader in visual communications for nearly 30 years, and as such our team brings an unmatched level of expertise, trust and industry knowledge that enables us to cost-effectively deliver exceptional service. Our proven approach to video managed services liberates customers from having to support multiple communications platforms and security protocols by instead choosing a single solution for a cohesive, customized user experience.
“Further, this growth validates our managed services model. An increasing need for cost containment has enterprises rethinking their computing environments. Cloud technologies enable new choices, flexibility, and the ability to eliminate OPEX, reduce CAPEX, while enhancing capabilities that increase operational efficiency.
"We have made a significant investment in our global infrastructure to deliver feature-rich, video managed and cloud services that take complexity out of the equation and support our customers’ evolving needs.”
Also of note, is the company’s ongoing commitment to strengthening its human resources. In addition to noteworthy expansion with its Public Sector team, Yorktel also welcomed three new members to its Western Region team: Andy Massignani as Strategic Account Manager, Josh Collins as Client Operations Manager, and Shane Zellers as Solutions Architect.
Yorktel continues to strengthen its team and presence in the Western Region to enhance its Managed Services portfolio and achieve its Hosted, Managed, and Media Services Strategy.
As Strategic Account Manager, Andy Massignani will be based in Irvine with the task of overseeing and growing the company’s presence in Southern California. Having served as an account director leading sales that focused on professional services, managed services, cloud offerings, unified communications, and media, Massignani brings his comprehensive portfolio management to accounts in the Los Angeles basin.
“Andy brings an impressive track record and wealth of industry experience with him to Yorktel,” said Dan Missbrenner, Yorktel Vice President and General Manager of the Western Region. “He is a much-welcomed addition to our team, and we are confident that his expertise will be an invaluable resource to strengthen both Yorktel’s regional presence and brand awareness.”
Also of note is the addition of Josh Collins as the Client Operations Manager for Yorktel’s premier customers in Southern California. Collins comes to Yorktel following a successful tenure at Sony, where he was Operations Manager for the US New Media Solutions department.
“We look forward to leveraging Josh’s extensive managed services knowledge to complement the already exceptional level of ongoing, on-site support that our customers have come to expect,” added Missbrenner.
Shane Zellers rounds out the additions as an additional Solutions Architect for the Western Region.
“Shane’s knowledge of the industry, proven track record of building successful professional services portfolios, and consultative approach will greatly enhance the customer experience and shore up the technical capabilities of the growing Western Region,” added Missbrenner.
