1 Million Christians Called to Washington, DC, for October’s “Save America” Gathering

Martinez, California (EastBayDaily) — A growing coalition of Christian organizations is coming together in support of the vision for "Save America: The Million Christian Prayer Gathering," http://www.saveamericagathering.com to be held Saturday, October 20, 2012, from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., on the National Mall, in Washington, DC.

The Save America Prayer Gathering will bring Christians from around the world to the national capitol, for a day of repentance, re-dedication, prayer and fasting. In brokenness and humility, as in Joel 2, Christians will come and cry out for God's mercy and forgiveness on our wayward nation. In a spirit of blessing and honor over all those in authority, attendees will pray for the establishment of God's Kingdom principles in every sphere of culture and society.

Additional important activities planned for the event include a reaffirmation of America's original covenant relationship with Almighty God as established by the nation's founders, and written in the "Mayflower Compact," and a declaration of America's responsibility to stand with the nation of Israel and the Jewish people, as stated in the Holy Bible, the Word of God, at Genesis 12:3. The Capitol will be covered in worship throughout the day. Families and young people especially are urged to participate, as there will be acknowledgment of the generational transfer of spiritual authority.
