Alameda’s Finest Antique Store, Pauline’s Antiques Will be Hosting a Number of Events During the Month of November

Alameda, California (EastBayDaily) — November will be a busy time at Pauline’s Antiques, a staple of the community which has been providing Alameda’s finest antiques in Alameda for many years.

Their first event will give back to their loyal customers with the Park Street Customer Appreciation Day on Saturday, November 5. Pauline’s Antiques will be among 40 businesses participating in the day which will have sales, treats and giveaways. They will offer 30 percent off of regularly marked prices throughout the store.

The next event will take place over Thanksgiving weekend. After recovering from the day-long activities of food, family, football and fun on Thursday, spend part of your weekend at Pauline’s. They will be hosting a Alameda’s Holiday Open House from Friday, November 25 through Sunday, November 27.

“The Weekend will kick off our extended holiday hours,” says Michelle Kelley of Pauline’s Antiques. “Starting on the Friday after Thanksgiving until Christmas Eve, we will be open Sunday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. But if we still have customers in the store wanting to shop, we will remain open until they have completed all of their purchases.”

Their Holiday Sale is annually their biggest of the year. Pauline’s Antiques will have a raffle during the Thanksgiving Weekend. Customers may enter their name once during the three day open house sale, and the winners will be drawn and notified on Tuesday, November 29. First Prize is a $50 gift certificate to Pauline’s Antiques and Second and Third Prize winners will each receive $25.

Hot Mulled Cider and cookies will be served throughout the weekend and they will host a new event this year on Saturday. Called “Saturday Night Special,” though it lasts all day, customers will notice that a different department each Saturday will be offering an extra special discount on select items, which are in addition to their storewide sale.

“This will be our ninth year having a Holiday Open House,” says Ms. Kelley. “We decorate our store windows and emphasize our wonderful layaway program that can be used at any time of the year, not just for the holiday season. We specialize in unique gifts in the antique and collectible market.”

Alameda’s Pauline’s Antiques offers a wide selection of decorative plates and dishes that would be great for holiday entertaining and baked goods gift giving. They have glassware for every occasion, a large collection of oils, pastels, watercolors and three-dimensional artwork. They carry a wealth of dresses and accessories for both men and women to get ready for their holiday or New Years’ parties.

On Saturday during the Thanksgiving Weekend, Pauline’s Antiques will once again take part in the American Express Shop Small Business Day. This is the second year of the event with the goal of promoting shopping at local small business across the country. American Express is offering a $25 incentive to people willing to spend their Thanksgiving Weekend dollars at small businesses.
