Mountain View, California (EastBayDaily) — InfoExpress, a leading network security solutions provider, today announced that Alcatel-Lucent (Euronext Paris and NYSE: ALU) has integrated InfoExpress CyberGatekeeper into its new OmniSwitch family of LAN switches.
With the CyberGatekeeper Host Integrity Check (HIC) Module integrated with the OmniSwitch, the network edge switch ensures endpoints connecting to the enterprise network are checked for health and compliance with the endpoint security policy of the organization. Non-compliant endpoint devices are restricted to the remediation network until they are compliant.
“IT departments want and need security solutions that are effective and easy to deploy. Alcatel-Lucent is focused on making security systemic — part of the basic design of a communications system – so we can provide a set of global capabilities that enable any company or IT manager to secure their network quickly and easily and recognize a broader business value in policy-enabled security,” said Michel Emelianoff, Alcatel-Lucent vice president enterprise security solutions. “Our further integration with CyberGatekeeper and this advanced feature set will enable organizations to protect sensitive corporate information while supporting evolving technology needs – such as VoIP and mobility – in the enterprise.”
Alcatel-Lucent customer, HanseatiCContor, a provider of outsourced sales and marketing resources, has chosen CyberGatekeeper Host Integrity Check (HIC). The company needed a proven, enterprise-class network access control solution to ensure the laptops used by its partners and consultants have the latest patches and anti-virus. In addition, CyberGatekeeper checks each endpoint to ensure it is not running any peer-to-peer applications in accordance with corporate security policies. Endpoints that are out of compliance are immediately quarantined and remediated.
“Integration with CyberGatekeeper has allowed us to establish appropriate security policies quickly and easily, enabling a much more secure environment by keeping unsecure devices off our network,” said Jens Kowalinski, CEO of HanseatiCContor. “CyberGatekeeper’s Host Integrity Check ensures that the devices touching our network are up to date in all aspects of our security requirements, as well as ensures peer-peer applications are never running.”
InfoExpress Host Integrity Check InfoExpress CyberGatekeeper is a one-stop Host Integrity Check (HIC) and Network Access Control (NAC) product for enterprises. HIC capabilities screen endpoints and only allow them to access your network if they meet security policy requirements.
CyberGatekeeper and HIC integration allows organizations to manage endpoint policy requirements across all user connection modes (wired, wireless or remote VPN), all user types (employee, contractor, guest, or unknown), and a broad range of devices and platforms (Windows®, Linux®, Mac OS® devices). The integrated solution does not require guests to have administrative privileges on their computers.
CyberGatekeeper can be deployed seamlessly in just a few hours, with minimal network changes. The product is available in an appliance/software version and a software-only version.
“With trends like mobility, increased compliance and the further virtualization of business, customers are keenly focused on data security,” said Stacey Lum, CEO of InfoExpress. “Integrating Host Integrity Check from InfoExpress into its premiere line of switches, Alcatel-Lucent customers get the highest level of protection through established security policies.”
