Emeryville, California (EastBayDaily) — Bay Area ballroom dancing venue, Allegro Ballroom invites ballroom dancers in the Bay Area to join its celebration of the holidays with a number of festive events, starting with the Christmas Dinner Dance on Saturday, Dec. 17.
Allegro’s Christmas Party, from 7 p.m. to midnight on Dec. 17, will feature a delightful holiday buffet dinner, ballroom dancing, salsa, Argentine tango, entertainment showcase, refreshments, gifts and a visit from Santa.
Dancers will have a place to work off some of the holiday sweets-and-treats indulgence at the Christmas Day Dance from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Dec. 25 as they get ready for New Year’s Eve.
With two gala parties in the works, there will be plenty of action at Allegro Ballroom on New Year’s Eve. Attendees will be decked out for a night of glamour and elegance at Allegro’s New Year’s Eve Party. The event will be a dress-up, formal affair with sit-down dinner, ballroom dancing, dessert and champagne, balloon drop, entertainment and more. The party will start at 7 p.m. on New Year’s Eve and will end at 1 a.m. For Bay Area Argentine Tango dancers, Nora and Ed’s New Year’s Eve Argentine Tango Milonga, from 9:30 p.m. to 5 a.m., will provide the top venue for a strictly Argentine, all-night dance festival with formal sit-down dinner, Argentine Tango dancing and Argentine-style breakfast to wrap up the event.
On New Year’s Day, the Survivor’s Day Dance, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., will provide a great way to start off a New Year’s Resolution to get back in shape after all that celebrating. The DJ will include a mix of music for ballroom dancing, salsa, Argentine tango and more.
