Berkeley, California (EastBayDaily) — For the first time, the The Audio Publishers Association's Audie Awards are recognizing audiobook excellence in Erotica. With this new category, two Cleis Press titles have made the finalist list: Molly Weatherfield's Carrie's Story, narrated by Shana Savage, and Laura Antoniou's The Killer Wore Leather, narrated by Lauren Fortgang. The new category was added after the success in sales for the 50 Shades of Grey audiobook in 2013. "The first-round judges were enthusiastic about the many quality Erotica submissions that came in, so we anticipate it will now be a regular feature of the Audie Awards,” said Janet Benson of Audio Editions, 2014 Audies Competition Chair. Winners will be announced at a Gala in New York City on May 29, 2014.
Carrie's Story, 2nd Edition An Erotic S/M Novel By Molly Weatherfield Foreword by Tristan Taormino Brilliant, bold and exquisitely kinky, Carrie's Story is an American Story of O that goes to the head of the class. Told in the whip-smart voice of a wickedly perceptive English major, this fully imagined and elegantly expressed erotic tale may well be the finest BDSM novel ever written.
