Bay Area’s Head Over Heels Athletics Arts, Congratulates Katreece Roberts on the NorCal Optional Coach of the Year Award Nomination

Emeryville, California (EastBayDaily) — Bay Area’s competitive gymnastics center that offers dance and gymnastics classes, Head Over Heels Athletics Arts, is proud to congratulate its executive director and head coach, Katreece Roberts, who was recently nominated for the NorCal Optional Coach of the Year Award.

"There are hundreds of high level gymnastics coaches in California and only two were nominated this year," Diedra Bassel of Head Over Heels Athletics Arts said. "Katreece and our competitive gymnastics team coaches have students who practice 20 hours a week, and families travel from as far as Fairfield and Brisbane after school to be coached by Katreece and her team of coaches.”

In 2011, Victoria Mar, a member of the Head Over Heels Level 9 Team, won all around (all events) at Western Championships. This year, Roberts travelled to Boise, Idaho, on May 3 with four of Head Over Heels' athletes who have qualified to compete in the 2012 Western Championships. During the current competitive season, Head Over Heels Athletics Arts’ athletes have captured 32 state titles. Teams accumulate points from team placement in State Championship meets.

“Katreece, along the rest of her coaching staff, has done a phenomenal job with her program. They are a non-profit organization, and I have been consistently impressed by them over the years. Every year their caliber of gymnastics increases, and they steadily climb higher among the teams in NorCal. I always enjoy watching Katreece interact with her gymnasts and the positive team spirit their gym brings to meets,” according to one comment from the nominations.
