Bigge Continues to Add to Nation’s Fastest Growing Rental Fleet

San Leandro, California (EastBayDaily) — California based Bigge Crane and Rigging is quickly adding to its crane rental fleet as the jobs keep piling up. Just in the first four months of 2011, Bigge has added more than 30 cranes to its fleet nationwide.

Bigge has recently purchased another Liebherr LR1600/2 crawler, a 660-ton capacity crane that is optimized for wind turbine erection. Bigge was among the first to operate the 660-ton capacity Liebherr crawler here in the US and has now added a second to its fleet. Both cranes are currently on lease at a major wind farm in the Midwest. Bigge has also recently purchased another Manitowoc 16000, a 440-ton class crawler, its sixth.

On the all-terrain front, Bigge recently bulked up its fleet with four new Liebherr LTM-1220/5.2, 265 ton class All Terrain cranes. The new LTM-1220/5.2 incorporates feature upgrades and significant improvements over prior models.

Finally, Bigge has added more than two dozen new large rough terrains, including three Grove RT9130’s, among the largest capacity RT’s, rated to 130 tons, as well as having the longest reach in its class at almost 200 feet. Bigge has also recently added fifteen new Link-Belt RTC8090 Series II, 90 ton capacity cranes. The new Link-Belt’s feature an innovative latching & pinning boom design giving this crane the best chart in its class.

Bigge bare leases cranes coast-to-coast out of locations in six U.S. states, from California to Virginia.
