Pleasanton, California (EastBayDaily) — Percona, Inc., the company that makes MySQL faster and more reliable, announced that the Call for Speakers for the 2012 Percona Live MySQL Conference and Expo is open and accepting speaker proposals through December 5, 2011. Proposals are being accepted for both conference breakout sessions as well as pre-conference tutorial sessions.
Formerly the MySQL Conference & Expo hosted by O’Reilly and Associates, the annual event has been a “must attend” event for MySQL users and fans for more than 10 years. In 2011, O’Reilly and Associates announced that year’s conference would be the last. Instead of letting the long-standing tradition fade away, Percona will host the renamed event April 10-12, 2012, at the Santa Clara Hyatt and Santa Clara Convention Center in Santa Clara, CA.
The three-day event provides a great opportunity for MySQL users and developers to meet and exchange knowledge and information about MySQL and closely related technologies. The conference will feature multiple tracks exploring the entire MySQL ecosystem, including Architecture and Technology, Business and Case Studies, Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence, High Availability, and more. Multiple tutorials will be available on April 10 with two full days of keynote presentations and breakout sessions on April 11 and 12.
