Cleaire Ships 10,000 Diesel Particulate Filters

San Leandro, California (EastBayDaily) — Cleaire Advanced Emission Controls announced today that it has built and shipped over 10,000 diesel particulate filters (DPF) for the diesel retrofit market. With seven (7) products verified by the California Air Resources Board (CARB), Cleaire offers the broadest product line of any manufacturer for both on-road and off-road applications.

“This milestone demonstrates Cleaire’s position as a leading manufacturer of DPF systems,” said Gale Plummer, CEO. “Without a doubt, Cleaire’s technology combined with our exceptional dealer network has proven to be dependable across thousands of challenging applications in North America.”

Although the emissions from newer diesel engines are quite clean by comparison, older diesel-powered vehicles and equipment continue to emit high levels of harmful particulate matter (PM). Cleaire provides a cost-effective solution to upgrade (or “retrofit”) older diesel engines and dramatically reduce (85%+) particulate matter pollution. Rather than buy new equipment, retrofitting with a diesel particulate filter enables vehicle and fleet managers to achieve 2007 emission levels at a much lower cost.

Cleaire’s diesel particulate filters are fully operational at all temperatures and duty cycles, unlike older and less effective technology. Furthermore, they have been broadly applied in on-road and off-road applications including transit and school buses, refuse trucks, utility trucks, intermodal trucks, cranes, construction equipment, and more.
