San Pablo, California (EastBayDaily) — East Bay music producer, Gawain Mathews Music Studio is pleased to announce the release of Ashley Davis’ new album entitled “Songs of the Celtic Winter”. The album features Dublin Harper, Cormac De Barra and an array of world music acoustic instruments played primarily by music producer and musician Gawain.
“Songs of the Celtic Winter” is a collection of Ashley’s original and traditional songs that go back to a time where songs and stories were the cornerstone of every wintry evening. A native of Kansas, Ashley was drawn to the music of Ireland from a young age and has worked with Celtic musicians such as Moya Brennan of Clannad and Paddy Moloney of the Chieftains. Ashley has been featured on the Today Show and was named one of the top 40 Irish Americans under the age of 40 by the Irish Press.
“Gawain is not only a solid and fast engineer, but also a fantastic multi-instrumentalist. When you work with him it’s like working with ten people all at the top of their craft,” says Ashley Davis.
“Songs of the Celtic Winter” will be available on ITunes, CDBaby and Amazon on December 1, 2011. For more information on Ashley, visit http://www.daisyrings.com.
