Exar to Open NASDAQ Stock Market on August 4, 2011

Fremont, California (EastBayDaily) — Exar Corporation (Nasdaq:EXAR) will mark its 40th anniversary as a semiconductor enterprise and 25th anniversary as a NASDAQ-listed company by conducting the market open ceremony at 6:30 a.m. PDT on August 4, 2011. Pete Rodriguez, Exar’s President and Chief Executive Officer and Kevin Bauer, Exar’s Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer together with other Exar executives will open the NASDAQ Stock Market.

Immediately preceding the market open ceremony, Pete Rodriguez will be interviewed for the NASDAQ CEO Signature Series.

The 6:30 a.m. PDT market opening will be broadcast live on the NASDAQ Tower in Times Square and made available to television outlets. The Market Opening ceremony will also be webcast live at http://www.NASDAQ.com.
