Mountain View, California (EastBayDaily) — FireEar Corporation, a leader in affordable home safety monitoring systems for fire, power and temperature, announced today the appointment of Henry Loubet, senior vice-president and chief strategy officer at Keenan, to FireEar’s Board of Advisors. Henry Loubet brings more than 20 years of top-level, executive experience in healthcare and insurance brokerage firms to contribute to FireEar’s marketing initiatives.

As chief strategy officer for Keenan, the largest privately-held brokerage firm in California, Henry Loubet is responsible for corporate business development, branding, mergers and acquisitions, lobbying, labor relations, public relations, along with other executive responsibilities.

The FireEar FE-1100 monitor, recently named International CES Innovations 2010 Design and Engineering Awards Honoree, is a simple home monitoring device that works with the FireEar notification service to monitor the home for fire, power outages, indoor freezing and other abnormal temperatures. The temperature alerts can help lower the homeowner’s energy bill and prevent pipe freezes. Fire detection alerts are activated by listening to the existing smoke detector. Homeowners are notified of alerts by phone, text message and email, with additional professional monitoring available for fire that contacts FireEar agents and the fire department.

Among Mr. Loubet’s many accomplishments, he is a recognized industry leader in the California healthcare benefits marketplace, and is well known for his innovative approaches to solutions for a consumer-oriented strategy. He was named one of California’s top 100 healthcare executives by California Medicine (now Healthcare Business News).

Prior to joining Keenan, Mr. Loubet served as CEO of the western region for United Healthcare. Before that he was president of Foundation Health of California, and senior vice president and regional executive for Health Net, responsible for and directing their northern and central California region. Loubet was also vice chairman and chief operating officer of

Mr. Loubet serves as a director of the Integrated Healthcare Association, Pacific Managed Care Systems (MCS), Gem Care, and MCOL. Additionally, he is a member of the California Medicare Consumer Advisory Council and served on the board of the California Association of Health Plans. He holds master’s degrees from the University of Pittsburgh and the University of San Francisco. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Rider University in New Jersey. He is involved with numerous not for profits and founded the Ace Kids Golf Foundation for inner city youth.
