Healthcare and Patient Advocates to Meet in Boston, November 2-3, 2012

Berkeley, California (EastBayDaily) — Patient advocates and patient navigators will meet at the National Association of Healthcare Advocacy Consultants fourth annual conference "The Leading Edge of Reform: Roles and Goals for Healthcare Advocates" to be held November 2-3, 2012 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, Boston. The November 3 morning sessions will be open to the public but registration is required.

This year's theme "The Leading Edge of Reform: Roles and Goals for Patient Advocates" speaks to the growing need for advocates to lead health policy changes and to teach consumers to find their way through our complicated healthcare delivery system.

Our keynote speaker is Rushika Fernandopulle, M.D., a practicing internist and medical reformer who has spent years boldly redesigning all facets of care delivery including payment models, staffing, information technology processes, and culture. His address "Reinventing Primary Care" will show advocates what roles they may have in new delivery models.
