Alameda, California (EastBayDaily) — Inman News, the leading source of independent real estate news, information, advice, research, opinion and commentary, took home four awards from the National Association of Real Estate Editors (NAREE) competition.
NAREE’s Journalism Awards recognize excellence in reporting, writing and editing stories about both residential and commercial real estate.
Inman News is proud to have been represented in multiple categories. The “Best Freelance Collection” was awarded to Kenneth Harney of Inman News and the Washington Post Writers Group. Harney was also awarded second place for “Best Column”. Associate editor, Matt Carter was awarded second place in “Best Residential Real Estate or Mortgage/Finance Report or Feature” for an article on dual agency.
The honors also included a nod to a series on real estate agent safety from staff reporter, Andrea Brambila. Competition judges noted the story’s originality, “this was a novel idea highlighting the vulnerability inherent in a real estate routine that is taken for granted.” Brambila reported on agent vulnerability at open houses.
Inman News is proud of its award-winning contributors and staff and looks forward to continuing its tradition of writing hard-hitting news stories on the state of the real estate industry.
