Livermore, California (EastBayDaily) — The Bay Area Search Engine Academy, a member of the Search Engine Academy SEO training network, announced today that they are piloting an online webinar-based search engine optimization (SEO) training program, called Learn SEO Online, starting November 22, 2010. The online classes are designed for beginners who want to learn how to get their website or business listed on the search engines like Google.
In the initial pilot program, they’ll have nine modules presented over 17 weeks with group coaching calls in between each bi-weekly lesson. Participants can listen to the live webinar-based lesson, and they’ll get a recorded version afterward. This gives them the opportunity to listen to it a second time or in case they missed it due to a conflict. Each lesson comes with a short worksheet to use as guidance for the lesson.
On alternating weeks, there will be a live call that students can ask questions and get clarification on the previous week’s lessons. The total program will run 17 weeks until March 2011.
The Search Engine Academy has training facilities around the world. They are known for their hands-on, small, in-person workshops. They keep the classes small to allow each student to get plenty of personalized attention and ensure that all their questions are answered. They actually practice the concepts during the workshops.
Thomas Petty, President of San Francisco’s Bay Area Search Engine Academy, said, “This online class doesn’t replace the in-person classes. The in-person classes provide a much more in-depth level of information, practice, individual coaching, Q&A, and diagnosis and feedback on the individual students’ websites they’re working on. There’s just no way to replace that with an online experience. However, people have told us that they still want to learn how to do SEO, but they can’t afford a week off from work or the money for the classes. So this is a more affordable, type of training that’s broken into smaller, manageable chunks.”
The pilot program is going to be open only to a limited number of students at a discounted rate. After the number of seats are taken, registration will be closed until it goes into full production. Petty said, “This pricing structure is only for the pilot program. After it goes into full production, the price will be set at its final, retail price.”
Once the Learn SEO Online course is put into full production, many more modules will be added as well as additional site functionality that will benefit the Search Engine Academy’s members.
