Lafayette, California (EastBayDaily) — Network Frontiers, the premier provider of IT Compliance mapping and creators of the Unified Compliance Framework⢠(UCF), is pleased to announce that Steven Piliero has joined the company as Director of Technical Content.
“I am thrilled to have Steven join our team,” says Craig Isaacs, Network Frontiers’ CEO. “He is one of the very few people in the world who is qualified to connect technical security requirements to the global legal and contractual requirements which are the basis of the Unified Compliance Framework. The integration of security and compliance is the new standard, and the UCF allows our customers to exceed that standard.”
Formerly CSO for The Center for Internet Security and lead for the CIS Security Metrics Initiative, Piliero brings two decades of experience and expertise in developing enterprise-wide governance and security programs. He has designed and deployed international, security management programs for some of the world’s largest organizations. Additionally, he initiated and co-developed successful security solutions with three of the top security solution vendors as well as contributed to CIS, NIST and NSA security standards.
In his new role, Piliero will be leading Network Frontiers’ technical compliance controls automation development and integration. His work will enable the security community to meet the “continuous monitoring” requirements from multinational organizations and governments around the world. Piliero will work with standards committees, governmental organizations, product vendors, and UCF licensees to ensure the complete integration of technical requirements into real-world solutions which can actively track, monitor, and report on controls.
Clint Kreitner, Founding CEO for the Center for Internet Security, said, “I have great respect for Steven both as a person and as a professional. As a member of the Unified Compliance team at Network Frontiers he will bring a depth of understanding of this field that few people have. He’ll be a great asset to the team and to the world of configuration management.”
