New Square Jellyfish Jelly Legs Micro Tripod for Portable Cameras, Smartphones and ‘Phablets’ Ideal for Picture-Takers on the Go

Fremont, California (EastBayDaily) — Square Jellyfish announced it has added the Jelly Legs micro tripod to its line of portable picture-taking accessories this spring. Jelly Legs micro tripods are incredibly light and durable, making it easier for picture-takers to get secure, clear shots with their personal cameras while on their next adventure, even on the rockiest of terrains.

“The Jelly Legs micro tripod gives digital camera and smartphone users the ability to stabilize their cameras and phones, while offering flexibility with regard to angle or location,” said Judie Kuhn, Square Jellyfish product manager. “This tripod is small, lightweight, and easy to use, making it a handy tool for any traveler or picture-taker who wants to enhance the next photo-op. It’s also great for the new ‘phablets,’ a class of devices that are a cross between smartphones and tablets.”

Designed to hold pocket cameras accepting ¼ x 20 standard camera thread screw mounts, the Jelly Legs micro tripod can also hold smartphones and similar flat and thin devices weighing up to 9 ounces when used with one of Square Jellyfish’s tripod mounts. Jelly Legs is pocket size and weighs less than half an ounce. It measures 2 ¾ inches long when collapsed and spans approximately 4 inches when opened.

When the tripod legs are folded down they form a handle for secure video taking, self-portraits and iPhone 5 panoramic photos.

Made of high-grade polycarbonate and ABS plastic with bright green padded feet, the Jelly Legs micro tripod is now available for purchase on; each Jelly Legs micro tripod will retail for $6.95.

The latest in a collection of more than half a dozen consumer accessories with the Square Jellyfish label, this pocket-friendly micro tripod complements other Square Jellyfish products, which include small cases to store Apple ear buds that double as a stand for a smartphone or tablet, two tripod mounts to make picture taking easier for smartphones and phablets, and a tiny ball joint that fits between a pocket camera and tripod to add camera angle flexibility to a tripod. Designed in the U.S.A., Square Jellyfish patents are pending.
