Oakland, California (EastBayDaily) — Couples and families will have a blast on Friday, Feb. 10 when College Avenue merchants will be open from 5 to 8 p.m. and restaurants will be open from 5 p.m. to closing to celebrate the Valentine Jazz & Wine Stroll at Oakland Rockridge Neighborhood Association. Top jazz musicians of the Bay Area will be playing live as customers stroll through the boutiques, stores, restaurants and art galleries.
Show the loved ones a great time, whether that loved one is a significant other, children, parent or friend. Shopping locally is not only fun but also benefits the local community in general. For each dollar spent in the Rockridge Business District, 60 cents of that dollar stays within the community.
The Jazz and Wine Stroll happens several times per year, including around the holidays and over Thanksgiving, back in November. The theme of that event was “Rockridge in the Snow.”
“I used to live in Rockridge on College Ave. This is such a wonderful neighborhood. There's great shopping and restaurants to explore. It's a great place to take a walk on a nice day. With the Rockridge BART nearby, getting into San Fran is quick and easy,” Joshua G., a former resident who has since relocated to New York, wrote on Yelp.com
