Oakland, California (EastBayDaily) — As the colder months arrive it is important to stay warm. This is why the Oakland’s Rockridge Neighborhood Association District is celebrating Home and Hearth Month during January 2012 and many of the retailers are taking part in the event.
The fine folks at Warm Things outlet stores and online services can keep everyone warm. Featuring a full-line of bedding needs and products, such as down and down alternative quilts, pillows, blankets, sheets, bed jackets, vests and robes, Warm Things is offering a January special. Customers can receive an additional 25 percent off of the already low current sales price on many products. Visit in person or online at WarmThingsOnline.com.
Warm up the home and cross off a resolution at the same time by visiting Nathan & Company.
“This New Years at Nathan & Company, we’ve made a resolution you’re welcome to borrow: Have more fun,” said Kareena Hamilton of Nathan & Company.
Nathan & Company says the best way to have fun and skip over the post-holiday blues that set in during January is to host a party and have the occasion be to just have a good time.
“We have just what you need to entertain like a pro,” added Hamilton. “Whether it be a mod light fixture to get the mood lighting right, some beautiful barware to fill with bubbly, or perhaps a delectably chic serving set, Nathan & Company has what you are looking for. Don’t forget that self-indulgence can be the most fun of all, and don’t bother resisting that cozy woven throw for your couch, or that cute tea towel designed by a local artist.”
Finally, while New Years is the dawn of many new things, sometimes good things have to come to an end.
It is with regret that the Rockridge District Association announces that Brass and Glass will be going out of business early in 2012. An indelible part of the community for more than 33 years, the store will offer a final sale that will thank customers for their loyalty throughout the years. Everything is on sale and everything must go. Brass and Glass offers mattresses, iron, brass and wood besteads. They also offer fireplace accessories and lighting. The sale begins on Jan. 2 and will run until the stock has run out.
“Use warm and cozy and things to brighten up your home or celebrate your home,” said Chris Jackson of Rockridge Neighborhood Associaion. “We have plenty to offer down here on the ‘Avenue.’”
The Rockridge shopping district offers many other fine home accessory shops for customers to experience. To see other merchants, or for more information on the shopping district, please visit their website at http://www.rockridgedistrict.com or call Chris Jackson at 510-604-3125.
