Lafayette, California (EastBayDaily) — Demonstrating an ongoing commitment to small businesses, Chase and LivingSocial launched “Mission: Small BusinessSM,” a new grant program that offers up to $250,000 to small business owners. Walnut Creek real estate investment expert Pete Sabine is thrilled to announce that his Walnut Creek consulting firm, Main Street Marketing, was invited to participate in the program. However, the company will need the support of the community in the form of voting before it can be considered for one of the 12 available grants.
“Small businesses are invaluable to the growth of our economy, and the ‘Mission: Small Business’ grant program is designed to provide Main Street Marketing with the solutions needed to grow and thrive,” Pete Sabine, president of Main Street Marketing, said. “The program aims to find innovative small business owners like us and provide them with the capital to help execute a business plan for growth.”
Main Street Marketing must receive at least 250 votes to be considered for a grant. The voting period is open through June 30. Consumers can get involved to support the Walnut Creek business, Main Street Marketing, by casting their vote at http://www.tinyurl.com/VoteForMainStreetMarketing. Chase and LivingSocial expect to announce the grant recipients by Sept. 15.
Chase and LivingSocial obtained support for the program from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce to help announce the program and drive small business engagement and participation. The program, which will award up to 12 individual grants of $250,000, was developed to provide small businesses with the capital and innovative marketing resources needed to make a positive impact on their business.
“Small businesses are the economic engine of this country, and LivingSocial’s goal is to help energize their connections with people seeking new and exciting experiences in their communities,” Tim O’Shaughnessy, LivingSocial CEO and co-founder, said.
Main Street Marketing’s mission is to assist business owners with the integration of social media marketing. It provides consulting, resources and strategies to grow their business. Offering workshops, seminars and consulting that enable marketers, business owners, real estate professionals and real estate investors to be successful with social media and online marketing that is now critical in today’s economy.
“We began our business by providing free training to more than 600 Realtors through monthly live seminars and follow up in-person consulting. We refined our presentations and approached our local Chamber of Commerce to provide this program to our business community through live seminars at JFK University and follow up in-person consulting,” Sabine said. “We also provide monthly seminars at our local Board of Realtors. We provide our seminars for other area chambers and Board of Realtors in nearby communities, and we periodically host live and recorded webinars, as well.”
Grant recipients will be selected by a panel of small business experts who have agreed to participate, including Steve Case of Revolution LLC, Candace Nelson of Sprinkles Cupcakes, Jason Calacanis of Mahalo.com, David Chavern, COO of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Richard Quigley of Business Card and Chase and Tim O’Shaughnessy of LivingSocial.
