Berkeley, California (EastBayDaily) — San Francisco Bay Area design firm, Project6 Design, won a 2011 Silver Davey Award from the International Academy of the Visual Arts for creative excellence in print design. The agency won the award for the Save the Redwoods League “Redwoods and Climate Change Initiative” print brochure design. The Redwoods and Climate Change Initiative will study the ecology of coast redwood and giant sequoia ecosystems in a changing world to inform forest conservation for the next 100 years and beyond. The International Academy of the Visual Arts (IAVA), which sponsors both the W3 Awards and the Davey Awards, is an organization consisting of top-tier media, advertising, and marketing professionals from the world’s leading organizations and firms.
The Davey Awards honors the “Davids” of creativity — the smaller agencies, companies, or organizations with annual billings or revenues below certain levels. Each year, the Davey Awards honor winners who derive their strength from big ideas, rather than big budgets.
“The design of our brochure for our Redwoods and Climate Change Initiative is fresh and compelling, showcasing our project effectively for our potential donors,” said Jennifer Benito, Director of Outreach for the Save the Redwoods League. “We’re so pleased to receive this honor with Project6 Design.”
“We are honored to receive yet another award from the IAVA,” said Esten Sesto, president, Project6. “We really enjoy assisting non-profits with the design and strategy of their marketing materials. Save the Redwoods League is a long-standing client and the print materials that we have designed for them really bring important information to their audience. We always strive for our work to connect with users in a meaningful way and I think this award demonstrates our success in that goal.”
