Berkeley, California (EastBayDaily) — Project6 Design, a San Francisco Bay Area graphic design firm, is excited to announce the launch of a new, responsive website design for Biscoff on the Drupal content management (CMS) platform. Since launch, the site has consistently received twice as many visits and significantly longer page views on both desktop and mobile devices.
Biscoff’s parent company, Lotus Bakeries, is well known throughout Europe for its long history and delicious, traditional cookies with all-natural ingredients. The Biscoff website, however, was serving primarily as a gateway to a separate ecommerce site – so Biscoff had limited opportunities to build the US brand experience with their online audiences. This consumer packaged goods company was in need of a redesign strategy to improve SEO, showcase their core and new products, guide users to purchase points, offer more opportunities for online engagement, and implement a content management system for increased control over their content.
The Project6 Design solution includes an immersive online experience with enticing site navigation, rich product photography, and elegantly rendered design details that express the care and sophistication of the Biscoff brand. The solution also includes engaging interactive elements for both active fans and new customers who might discover Biscoff for the first time on Delta airlines, where the cookies are served in flight.
The new Biscoff site offers a bolder, more premium online brand experience and more effective SEO than its predecessor. Visitors now browse tantalizing images of recipes and party ideas, share locations where they first discovered delicious Biscoff cookies or spread, locate stores that sell Biscoff products or visit Biscoff’s online store, and enjoy discounts and promotions. "Biscoff receives significant traffic from mobile devices," said Project6 Design Inc., owner Esten Sesto, “so the site is fully responsive. Images are scaled and navigation is intuitive on large desktop monitors, smartphones, and all devices in between."
To give the Biscoff marketing team full control over content updates, the site was built with the Drupal CMS platform. Drupal is an open source content management platform powering millions of websites and applications. It is built, used, and supported by an active and diverse community of people around the world and is used by some of the biggest sites on the Web, like The Economist, Examiner.com and The White House. Drupal is a cutting-edge platform that supports the latest technologies that the Web has to offer. The Drupal project's principles encourage modularity, shared standards, collaboration, and ease of use.
