Rick Steves Audio Europe™ App: Expanded and Improved with Version 2.0

Berkeley, California (EastBayDaily) — The latest edition of Rick Steves Audio Europe™ adds a significant amount of new content: eight new audio walking tours covering Vienna, Salzburg, the Rhine, Assisi and Ephesus; plus 26 new radio features on Ireland, the Netherlands, Eastern Europe, Scandinavia, the Netherlands, Germany, Ireland, Italy and Portugal — including new travel interviews with Paul Theroux, Ken Burns and Nancy Pearl.

The app’s functionality also improves with the new edition. Until now, the maps that accompanied the walking tours had to be printed or viewed as separate PDF files; with Version 2.0 they are seamlessly integrated into each of the app’s tours. In addition (in case they would rather read than listen), users can pull up a text version of each tour’s audio track.

Additional improvements include:

-Track descriptions are displayed in the ‘add tracks’ section. -Track descriptions for interviews now include images. -Individual tracks may now be shared on Twitter, Facebook, or email. -Rick Steves e-books can now be ordered and downloaded directly to the user’s mobile device. -A few iOS 5 related issues have been corrected.

Users who have already downloaded the Rick Steves Audio Europe™ app can get the Version 2.0 improvements by setting their device to ‘enable notifications’ — or simply download the new version from the iTunes App Store.

Users of Android devices will enjoy the same Version 2.0 content updates to Rick Steves Audio Europe™, but without the extra usability features listed above. Users of any MP3 player can select and download individual MP3 files of Rick Steves’ audio walking tours and radio content from ricksteves.com, free of charge.
