Science Meets Science Fiction at Evolution Expo in Downtown Oakland

Oakland, California (EastBayDaily) — Evolution Expo, presented by Science Fiction Entertainment Inc., kicks off on June 27, 2014 with three full days of interactive exhibits, games, competitions and panels in downtown Oakland aligning with this year’s theme, “Putting the Science Back Into Science Fiction”.

Celebrity guests include Emmy-nominated Mayim Bialik of “The Big Band Theory”, John Rhys-Davies of “The Lord of the Rings” trilogy, Jason Momoa of “Game of Thrones”, Katee Sackhoff of “Battlestar Galactica”, and many more. Attendees are invited to attend panel discussions, participate in Space Age Karaoke, engage in unique workshops and meet their favorite celebrities and scientists throughout the Oakland Convention Center and Marriott Hotel.

Unique to this event is Evo-Kids which will allow kids of all ages to work directly with astronauts to solve challenges, brainstorm with scientists, build their own Gravity Data Board and explore planets with Chabot Space & Science Center leaders.
