Announces Fall 2012 College Essay Scholarship Contest is Open

Full-time college and university students, who are actively enrolled for the 2012 Fall semester, are encouraged to apply. They must be 18 years of age or older, a U.S. Citizen or legal resident, and be currently enrolled as a full-time student. Entries are presently being accepted by way of the company web site, and to qualify, they must be received on or before December 1, 2012 (midnight, P.S.T.). The grand prize winner will be announced on the company site under “scholarship news and information” on or before January 15, 2013, and then later in a future press release.

To enter, an essay of 750-1250 words must be submitted through the SellUsedBooks online form. The 2012 Fall contest asks the question "What book has made a significant and positive impact on you? Detail why it is meaningful to you by listing specific ways it has changed or deeply affected your life." All essays will be evaluated by an impartial in-house company panel and judged by originality, organization, strength of ideas, and presentation. This includes correct grammar and spelling, and the contest rules stipulate that only one entry may be submitted per eligible student.
