Senior Assisted Living Community Cypress Meadows Earns Business of the Year Award

Antioch, California (EastBayDaily) — Cypress Meadows, a senior assisted living community in Antioch, California, has earned the Business of the Year Award. The award, which is presented by the Antioch Chamber of Commerce, the City of Antioch, the California State Assembly and the California State Senate, is an award reserved for a business that demonstrates exceptional care and pride in the products or services they provide.

The senior assisted living community is owned and operated by Dr. Vincent Malfitano, a retired dentist who also designed the community. Dr. Vince Malfitano is a staple of this community, as he was born and raised in the area he continues to serve. In addition to earning the Business of the Year Award, Vincent Malfitano also earned the Business Person of the Year Award for his efforts in serving the residents of the Cypress Meadows senior assisted living community.

“We are always happy to be recognized, but the opinion we value most is that of our residents and their families,” said Vince Malfitano. “Ultimately, it is our goal to offer the most outstanding care possible to our residents, and we strive to achieve this each and every day.”

Dr. Malfitano went on to note that it is the efforts of the staff that truly sets Cypress Meadows apart, referencing the fact that his staff has an incredibly low turnover rate. According to Malfitano, this is a strong indicator that his staff is there because they care deeply about the work that they do.

“I am so very proud of the staff that we have here at Cypress Meadows, and I believe that our residents are very happy to have them here as well,” said Dr. Malfitano. “Any success that we have or any accolade we receive is due to the efforts of the staff in caring for our residents.”

The Business of the Year Award and the Business Person of the Year Award are not the only recent recognitions received by Cypress Meadows, as the community has also received awards from both Senior Living and Senior Advisor. In 2013, the community earned the Excellence Award from Senior Advisor, and in 2014 it earned the Best Pet Friendly Award from Senior Living.
