The Crucible Accepting Vendor Applications for Burning Man-Inspired Event

Oakland, California (EastBayDaily) — The Crucible, West Oakland’s leading industrial arts center, is accepting vendor applications for its annual Playa Bound: Sale & Open House. The event, which gives vendors an opportunity to sell goods for Burning Man and beyond, benefits participating artists and The Crucible’s arts education programs.

Playa Bound: Sale & Open House, a family-friendly event, features dozens of vendors selling handmade crafts, desert costumes, camping supplies, bikes, furniture, glass and metal creations, and more. Also featuring fiery performances, youth activities, and industrial arts demonstrations, the event is a wonderful way to support local artists and arts education.

Vendors are encouraged to apply by June 7, 2013. The Crucible will give special consideration to those selling work that fits with The Crucible’s classes (e.g. metalwork, jewelry, neon, ceramics, etc), and crafts and supplies geared toward the Burning Man event this August/September in the Black Rock City desert.
