Mountain View, California (EastBayDaily) — TrustwareTM, a leader in security technologies that protect a PC by isolating threats, officially unveiled a new version of its powerful security software application, BufferZoneTM Pro. Trustware’s newest version of BufferZone Pro is compatible with the 64-bit versions of Microsoft Windows 7 and Vista and Microsoft Windows 7, Vista and XP 32-bit versions. This support enables BufferZone Pro customers to migrate to newer 64-bit versions of Windows so they can take advantage of the 64-bit capable processors on newer PCs while still enjoying the free protection offered by BufferZone Pro.
BufferZone Pro adds an additional layer of protection to the traditional security suites by creating a separate – or virtual – environment that isolates security threats and prevents them from ever touching the user’s hard drive. Trustware’s patented Threat Virtualization software allows users to securely browse the web and safely download, install and operate applications without fear of malicious or unidentified attacks by Trojan horses, worms, keyloggers, spyware, Adware, phishing attempts or other computer-clogging malware.
“We know the security challenges that PC users face in their daily lives. Traditional security software alone cannot provide the high level of security protection that people require in today’s complex, fast-moving threat landscape. BufferZone Pro gives the users that extra protection and confidence that they’re safe from the unknown,” said Trustware CEO Jim Penosky. “Adding support for the 64-bit versions of Windows makes BufferZone Pro more accessible to all.
Version 4.00 includes 64-bit support, improved performance, stability and compatibility. Also included is enhanced removable device protection and enhanced support for enterprise deployment.
