TubeMogul Formally Launches Real-Time Media Buying Platform for Video Advertising in Canada

Emeryville, California (EastBayDaily) — TubeMogul, the leading real-time media buying platform for video advertising, officially opens its doors in Canada today, tapping online marketing veteran Grant le Riche to head the company's Toronto office.

Real-time video advertising is exploding in Canada, with inventory available for buying growing at a rate of 9.3% per month, or over 19.2 million pre-roll streams per day in the first few weeks of July. TubeMogul, which stands at the nexus of this market – having operated in the country under a private beta with dozens of Fortune 500 brands and top trading desks for the past few months – formally opens its doors in Toronto today.

"I'm especially excited because in a marketplace where everyone says they do everything, TubeMogul cuts through the noise with a platform that simplifies brand advertising and gives marketers total control to maximize impact and reduce waste," comments le Riche.

“TubeMogul's Toronto team is tasked with capitalizing on this momentum, with le Riche heading strategy, sales and business development. The Toronto office is ramping up hiring in the coming months and already hosts one of the company's chief engineers. Chief among le Riche's responsibilities will be introducing TubeMogul's media buying platform, which simplifies brand advertising by combining the branding power of digital video with the optimization and control real-time buying makes possible.

"Grant is a thoughtful leader in the industry and perfectly-suited to head our Toronto office and continue to propagate our mission to make brand advertising simple, safe and effective," says Marc Galens, TubeMogul?s head of International.

Well-respected in the industry, le Riche brings a wealth of experience to the table as a board member at both the AdClub of Toronto and Canada's Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB), holding seats on the RTB, Mobile and Publisher boards, which are tasked with setting standards for the industry.

Prior to TubeMogul, le Riche led the sales and strategy for a handful of digital advertising companies, including Gorilla Nation, Suite 66; and most recently opening and developing the Toronto market for SAY Media.
