West Coast Dance Theatre Announces They Offer Dance Classes in Alameda, and is celebrating it’s 39th Anniversary

Alameda, California (EastBayDaily) — Alameda’s West Coast Performers International Touring Company they are celebrating the dance theatre’s 39th anniversary, and announces they are planning a tour to Coast Rica this summer. It is becoming the most traveled group of young singers and dancers in the area. The West Coast Dance Theatre does not just teach children’s dance classes; it has been voted the best dance studio in Alameda for Adults.

“I am very proud of the fine talent that has been developing at West Coast Dance Theatre for the past 39 years,” said Marnel Xavier, artistic director of West Coast Dance Theatre. “My dream is to keep the high quality of theater on our island and to showcase the many talented performers.”

The West Coast Dance Theatre is the home of the West Coast Performers and the West Coast Performers International Touring Company. The non-profit performing groups from Alameda are composed of talented children, teens and young adults who have volunteered and performed in the community, throughout the United States and all over the world.

West Coast Dance Theatre is now accepting new students, ages 3 and up, for September 2011 classes. It is offering many dance classes including African, ballet, hip-hop, jazz, tap, Zumba and dance teacher training. For those interested in joining the West Coast Performers and West Coast Performers International Touring Company, pre-requisite training includes ballet, hip-hop Dance, jazz and tap.

About West Coast Dance Theatre Now in its 38th season, the West Coast Dance Theatre has much to offer people of all ages.
