Danville, California (EastBayDaily) — Corbin Louks is an exciting and versatile athlete who possesses blazing speed and excelled at multiple possitions in the NCAA Divison I level. Projected to be a wide reciever at the NFL level, Corbin is an experienced quarterback, safety and returner.
The 6'0'' 207 lb. scholar-athlete from Danville, California, graduated from San Ramon Valley High School, where, among other awards and honors, he was named First-team, All-East Bay Athletic League, North Coast Section Offensive Player of the Year and San Francisco Chronical regional player of the year.
Following graduation, Corbin headed to the University of Utah, where he played 10 games as a true freshman after coming out of a planned redshirt year. In 2008, he played in nine games, and finished third on the team in rushing with 223 yards and had three rushing TD's to go along with his team-high 8.1 yards per carry. His incredible versatility began to show as he went for 109 yards ruching with two touchdowns and 1-for-1 passing for 37 yards against Colorado State. He also had Utah's longest run of the season – a 69-yard rushing TD.
in 2009, Corbin transferred to the University of Nevada, and had to sit out for a year under NCAA transfer rules.
Once eligible in 2010, Corbin made an immediate impact, as he showd further versatility by securing the job as starting safety.
In 2011, Corbin landed the third different starting position of his carerr – wide reciever – where he was a major contributor and enormous offensive weapon.
Corbin trained for his Pro Day at Competitive Edge Sports in Duluth, Georgia, under the tutelage of current Wide Receivers Coach for the Jacksonville Jaguars, Jerry Sullivan.
At the Wolf pack’s Pro Day on March 21st, Corbin once again displayed his athleticism during wide receiver drills and his blazing speed clocking a 4.39 40-yard dash.
