Mountain View, California (EastBayDaily) — Increasingly, enterprises are evolving into connected businesses—extending processes, workflows and data to enhance interaction and collaboration across internal business groups, customers and partners. At the Gartner Application Architecture, Development and Integration (AADI) Summit 2014, WSO2 Vice President of Platform Evangelism Chris Haddad will present a session that explores best practices for implementing a connected architecture.
WSO2 is a Platinum Sponsor of Gartner AADI Summit 2014, which will run December 8-10, 2014 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Connected Architecture Fabric Creates a Connected World
Chris’ presentation, “Connected Architecture Fabric Creates a Connected World,” will run 3:15-4:15 p.m. on Tuesday, December 9, 2014.
In this session, Chris will begin by discussing how in-memory contextual processing, API clouds, and the Industrial Internet of Things are leading to new business and customer expectations and driving the digital transformation toward a connected business model. He then will discuss how these technology developments and others are forming a new connected architecture fabric that creates strategic business opportunities. Additionally, Chris will explore how leading IT teams are successfully incorporating these new components and connected architecture best practices.
Chris Haddad is vice president of platform evangelism at WSO2. He works closely with developers, architects, and C-level executives, as well as WSO2's engineering team, to increase adoption of WSO2 open source technology, improve the middleware platform, and maximize customer value. Prior to joining WSO2, Chris led research teams as a research vice president at the Burton Group and Gartner advising Fortune 500 enterprise organizations and technology infrastructure vendors on adoption strategies, architecture, product selection, governance, and organizational alignment.
Integrated Open Source Approach to the Connected Business
The WSO2 booth at Gartner AADI Summit 2014 will have experts available to discuss the synergistic, integrated approach of WSO2’s 100% open source platforms in addressing the technology demands of competing in a connected world, including the cloud, API management, big data analytics, the management and security of mobile and Internet of Things devices, and DevOps. Among the WSO2 solutions are products from the comprehensive WSO2 Carbon enterprise middleware platform—including WSO2 API Manager, WSO2 Enterprise Mobility Manager, WSO2 Private PaaS, the WSO2 App Factory cloud-enabled DevOps platform, and WSO2 Public Cloud platforms.
Significantly, all WSO2 solutions are built on the same fully componentized, OSGI-compliant code base. As a result, developers can easily deploy and customize any of these WSO2 products and the 175-plus components on which they are comprised, providing greater flexibility and agility to meet changing enterprise demands. In addition to WSO2 cloud platforms, all WSO2 Carbon enterprise middleware products also are fully multitenant and cloud-ready. This means IT professionals can write an application once and deploy it on the same middleware on-premises, in the cloud, or in a hybrid environment.
